Provenance: Artist's Studio. Herbert & Gertrude Green, The Godlands, Tovil, Maidstone, Kent. The finished painting, which may have had the alternative title of 'The Silken Cord' owned by L. Blumfeld, was illustrated in 'The Studio' in March 1907.
