Over 600 illustrations, etchings or wood-engravings, some tiny but others full-page, with some letter-press, mounted on 72 leaves, plus 6 leaves of illustrated calendar for 1844, and another 6 leaves for 1845.

A neatly produced well laid out album. George Cruikshank [1792-1878] the illustrator and caricaurist, was at his height in the 1820s and 1830s, when he influenced Phiz and Leech. Baudelaire remarked his work had 'an inexhaustible abundance of grotesque invention'.
